Re: Lump Sum For Certain Future Fundings?

Hi Alan.

If you are asking if you can prepay cryopreservation funding at current minimums to lock-in current minimums in perpetuity, the answer is no. Alcor won't presently accept prepayments with such guarantees. If you are asking whether Alcor might set some larger amount above current minimums, and guarantee it as sufficient cryopreservation funding in perpetuity if prepaid, that hasn't been discussed by the board. I'm not clear on how it would be different than guaranteeing perpetual sufficiency of an above-minimum life insurance policy.

Whether by prepayment, living trust, or life insurance, what you propose is a theoretical possibility. However it would seem necessary to set the above-minimum amount based on age.

In any case, the short answer to your question is that no such option exists yet.
