Hi Alan,

I am at a loss to understand your message above.
1. What was the "second to last financial question" that I answered and on what thread? - a quote would help.
2. For what purpose would be this "cough up more funds"?

If 2. is for the non-required CMS funding that Aschwin and I are suggesting, then I don't see why this could not be done by wire transfer directly to Alcor from a bank account either from funds kept in a money market account for that purpose or moved from a sufficiently large line of credit related to one's bank account, or by having credit cards with sufficiently large maximums on them. To be effective in case of incapacity of the person for which the CMS is being done all such accounts and credit cards would need to be joint with a trusted person who is not at the point of legal death at that time and would be available to make the monetary arrangements.

Hi Alan,
Another option could be to use PayPal with their monthly subscription process - then there is no worry of Alcor misplacing account/routing numbers and the full control is with the person and their PayPal account.

Bookkeeping would no doubt become much more complicated, meaning more man-power to track it, meaning higher costs. ;-)

The advantage of bank draft transfer is:
a small amount can be received each month from the member in question.

The disadvantages are:
i. the monthly flow might be interrupted; bookkeeping might be complicated.
ii. a possibility exists account and routing #s might be accessed by outsiders.
Other questions naturally arise.
